There are a few new outdoor entertainment trends making waves as we move throughout Louisiana’s re-opening phases.
From drive-in concerts to outdoor music events and expanded open air dining – we now have creative, fun, and safer options for getting out of the house.
Events like July’s NOLA Drive-In Summer Concert Series at UNO Lakefront Arena sold out quickly and were a HUGE hit.
New Orleanians and Northshore dwellers flocked to see well-loved local groups perform such as Tank and the Bangas, Galactic, and the Revivalists – enjoying the tunes from the socially distanced safety of their vehicles.
And this month, Mayor LaToya Cantrell and New Orleans city officials are putting the finishing touches on a plan to offer grants to help NOLA restaurants expand their outdoor dining offerings. The expansions will allow for additional safe sidewalk dining and the creation of safer outdoor eatery concepts called “parklets” and “streateries.”
It’s safe to say these trends in local music and dining entertainment are here to stay, at least through the near future and definitely as we see off the summer of 2020.
So while you’re planning to take advantage of opportunities to hear your favorite musicians and try out a new NOLA dining hotspot — remember, Royal Coach helps get you there safely, comfortably, and in luxury.
